About The Role: The Cultivation Engineer Coordinator position will work closely with the Cultivation department pertaining to needs for engineering expertise when related to; irrigation, pumps, motors, filters, valves, machinery, controlled environments and electronics related to the cultivation and processing of cannabis for CCA. The Cultivation Engineer Coordinator will apply engineering knowledge to agricultural problems concerned with the cultivation and processing of cannabis for CCA. What You Will Do + Assist the Cultivation Engineer Manager with keeping systems and processes running for CCA. + On-farm irrigation management - Ensure the proper function of all irrigation equipment. + Irrigation equipment maintenance & troubleshooting (Pumps, filters, VFDs, sulfur burners, nutrient injection units, pressure reducing/sustaining valves, PVC, drip tape, etc.) + Assist with irrigation timing and nutrient management. + Installation and monitoring of field sensors for soil moisture, temperature, humidity, etc. + Develop improvements to current irrigation systems. + Compile information and track Nitrogen use. + Assist with the design and implementation of automation for cultivation processes + Assist with the design, implementation and improvement of harvest-processing lines + Assist cultivation crew in planting, maintaining and harvesting Cannabis as needed + Discuss plans with clients, contractors, consultants, and other engineers + Communicate technical information to suppliers, contractors, or regulatory agencies + Test agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure adequate performance; Confer with other personnel to resolve design or operational problems + Train personnel on proper operational procedures by developing SOPs + Drone imaging running log for company history/ aerial issue surveying + Perform experiments (or trials) to improve the overall efficiency of the crop production + Perform experiments (or trials) to improve the overall efficiency of cannabis processing + Supports the overall success of Central Coast Agriculture by performing all other duties as assigned + Perform all functions safely following prescribed rules and protocol What You'll Need to Have + S. in Ag Engineering, or other related Engineering or agricultural degree(s) + Demonstrated 3+ years experience working in the agricultural industry (desired) + Demonstrated 1+ year(s) experience working in the Cannabis industry (desired) + Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Excellent interpersonal skills + Flexible work schedule as needed + Excellent organizational skills + Advanced computer skills, including G-Suite(Google Docs, Sheets, etc.), CAD, Microsoft Office Suite, etc. + Ability to work well remotely and while off site + Functional knowledge of California cannabis regulations, specifically as it pertains to cultivation and processing + Competencies in planning and organizing, good time management + Must be 21 years of age (or older) at the time of hire + Valid driver's license + Self Development- Continue to learn and grow, maintain current knowledge in the field + Maintain professionalism and live CCA’s core values at all times + Working knowledge of the Spanish language (desired) ID: 2020-1048 External Company URL: Street: 8701 Santa Rosa Rd
