Job Description

Do you enjoy training customers and method development? As an APPLICATION SCIENTIST at SCIEX, you will be responsible for field application support for clinical and forensic customers supporting our TripleQuad, QTRAP, and X500R/TripleTOF platforms. You will work closely with sales team, engineers, product team and other scientists to: § Deliver on-site customer training and support on SCIEX hardware and software platforms. § Provide online/phone customer technical support. § Prepare and deliver customer demonstrations that show SCIEX LC/MS product features if needed. § Analyze samples submitted by prospective customers and present results. § Work with product development and research to assist in defining, developing and thoroughly testing new hardware and software products. § Perform application development directed at advancing the use of LC/MS and MS/MS in new market areas. § Identify major opportunities in the clinical research and forensic toxicology for the application of SCIEX technology. Qualifications: + BS or higher degree is desired in chemistry or biology. + 2 years or more of strong experience in bioanalytical method development on LC-MSMS on different platforms including triple quadrupole, QTRAP and X500R/TripleTOF. + 2 years or more of practical experience on LC/MS applications in one or more of the following areas: clinical, toxicology, cannabis, food & beverage, environmental, pharma, metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics. + Extensive sample preparation and strong chromatographic separation skills and experiences are crucial. + Strong troubleshooting skills for HPLC and MS are highly desirable.
