About The Role: As the Plant Health Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the plant health and nutrient management of CCA’s crops. You will work with the Plant Health Coordinator in the management and oversight of plant health, this will include integrated pest management, planting media management, and nutrient management. Major changes and decisions are based on research, discussion, best practices, and communication with multiple departments. What You'll Do + Oversee soil management in beds and pots. + Regularly spend time in the field and nursery, assessing crop performance, identifying crop deficiencies, and assisting with research trials + The Plant Health Coordinator will be helping facilitate CCA’s Plant Health Program. + Responsible and Accountable for assisting in regulatory compliance, recordkeeping, and reporting of all relevant data + Aid in the implementation of programs for testing new fertilizers, amendments, substrates, watering strategies, ect. + Sample, analyze, and interpet leaf tissue and soil test results + Manage, analyze, and report trial data + Report and maintain database of feeding schedule + Grade soil in both nursery and field settings (suitability and heavy metals) + Assist in providing nursery and cultivation staff with weekly reports regarding plant health, nutrition, and pertinent best practices + Adhere to applicable SOPs + Drive process improvements continuously + Maintain a stocked and organized inventory of inputs + Maintain accurate database of fertility tracking (field and nursery) + Serve as the POC for all lab testing and nutrient vendors + Maintain professionalism and live CCA’s core values at all times + Perform all other duties as assigned or inherent to the position + Up to 20% of domestic travel expected What You'll Need to Have + 2 - 3 years relevant greenhouse and/or farming experience + Minimum of Bachelors in agronomy, soils, plant or crop science + Strong background in biology, math, and statistics + Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google’s G suite, particularly Excel/Sheets + Functional knowledge of California cannabis regulations, specifically as it pertains to cultivation and nursery work + Must be 21 years of age (or older) at the time of hire + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Working knowledge of Spanish language a plus + Flexible work schedule as needed + Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment + Excellent interpersonal skills + Strong organizational and follow-up skills What You'll Receive + Competitive salary + Medical, dental and vision benefits + Vacation and Holidays ID: 2021-1086 External Company URL: Street: 8701 Santa Rosa Rd
