About The Role: The Integrated Pest Management Applicator Tech is responsible for executing the implementation of the integrated pest management programs in the field, greenhouses, and other controlled environments. This person will apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed by the IPM program as well as implement other practices to mitigate plant pests and pathogens; apply new pest elimination tools and capture devices as needed to sustain and improve pest management. What You'll Do + Responsible for the execution of the IPM program as assigned by IPM staff + Responsible for inspection, identification and management of pests/pathogens in greenhouse and outdoor growing areas or controlled environments + Assists in the operation and maintenance of all agricultural equipment related to Integrated Pest Management + Assist in the improvement of existing pest control programs to reduce overall plant damage and disposals + Other duties as assigned + Shifts will vary all hours of the day, including early morning and late evening start times. + Maintain professionalism and live CCA’s core values at all times + Perform all other duties as assigned or inherent to the position + Creativity and Innovation – Initiates conceptual ideas with practical applications, develops creative strategies and opportunities, creative thinking and problem solving, promotes a creative climate. + Teamwork and Relationship-Building Skills – Assists team members in accomplishing their objectives by helping things go right, establishes effective working relationships, and promotes team efforts. + Develops Self – Learn and grows, maintains current knowledge in the field. + Communication and Cooperation – Effectively communicates upward, downward and laterally.
