Senior Legal Cannabis Assistant

Greenspoon Marder located in Denver, Colorado is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Legal Assistant to assist to join and assist our Cannabis Practice. We are seeking a Legal Assistant with superior organizations skills, excels in a fast-pace environment, pays strict attention to detail and takes overall initiative to not only look ahead, but to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. In doing so, this position will work closely with the Managing Partner to understand the needs of the practice and business and assist with completing and delegating the work accordingly. This position has the opportunity for growth in terms of supervising legal staff members within the department.

Your Senior Legal Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets clients, and takes all client calls
• Handles heavy calendaring and scheduling for meetings, calls, and to ensure all deadlines are met and that team stays on task
• Strict attention to detail pertaining to client correspondence, calendaring, etc.
• Organization and filing of all files
• Opening of all new files
• Drafting of general correspondence and engagement letters
• Editing and revising all documents, including redlining and comparing
• Possible bate stamping, redaction and document indexing
• Entering Attorney Time
• Following up on all filings
• Inputting and scanning documents and information into the file database and case management software
• Management of client invoicing and payments for the practice group
• * Growth Opportunity- assists and trains incoming staff on practice procedures
• * Ensure timely work flow from all team members
• * Delegates work according to Partner needs and workflow
• * Solves daily issues to main a smooth day-to day operation
• * Communicates and updates legal staff members on pertinent information regarding the clients, files, deadlines, etc.

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. Associates Degree, or Legal Certificate
2. Minimum of two to five years of progressive experience as a Legal Assistant

This is a full-time, non-exempt position offering full benefits.

Compensation Range: $28/hr. - $36/hr.
