Cannabis Payroll Clerk

Our client, a vertically integrated company in the Cannabis Industry, is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join their rapidly growing company in the Los Angeles area.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle high volume data entry, multiple deadlines, and priorities with a high level of accuracy. Individual must be a self-starter, have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Team member responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees (400+ Employees).
• Must be able to review time cards, compute wages, reconcile wages, overtime and other types of pay with accuracy and compliance
• Assist in the maintenance of employee records and adhere to all state and federal laws
• Post, update and reconcile all employee-related payroll deductions (garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, etc.)
• Resolve any issues/questions by Supervisor or other parties in a timely and professional manner
• Be willing and adaptable to assist in other departments within the organization

Job Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in processing payroll
• Bilingual in Spanish/English (Plus)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Must be respectful, honest and demonstrate a strong work ethic
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office-good knowledge of Excel

Compensation: $18 hourly - $20 hourly
