About The Role: As a Buyer, you will manage expenditures for materials and services that are part of the company’s purchasing programs. You are responsible for source selection and procurement functions for indirect and production materials, services, fixed assets and tooling. These products and services are to be secured at competitive cost, quality and delivery. As a member of the procurement team, you’ll develop and share best practices with your peers and internal partners. What You'll Do + In line with product specifications, identify appropriate vendors to supply CCA according to best practices, SOPs, and identified priorities + Verify and issue purchase orders in line with priorities, including specifications, price and turn-around times. Identify substitute items from suppliers if and as needed. + Review buying targets based on planning and demand reports. + Create and maintain accurate records within systems of record, including ERP and electronic databases + Confirm all issued purchase orders, expediting purchase orders when needed + Review incoming orders daily and including part number, description, quantity, ship-to address, shipping method, pricing and estimated ship date + Conduct cycle counts for inventory and keeps inventory of raw materials accurate in ERP system + Investigate all pricing/shipping/ordering discrepancies related to issued purchase orders. Work with suppliers, receiving and accounting teams to resolve any issues + Analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions with suppliers and internal team. Maintain records of supplier’s non-conformance + Purchase MRO supplies for specific departments + Maintain precise records online and offline + Provide purchasing planning and control functions by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends + Communicate with production and all other functions to ensure plans are developed to meet all customer commitments, both internal and external + Conduct regular reviews of shortages and expedites reports to maintain inventory levels on purchased goods + Expedite purchase orders that are needed in less than the normal lead time to deal with any possible shortages + Support the development of purchase forecasts + Calculate and publish purchasing KPIs including number of open requisitions, days to process PO’s, and purchase price variance. + Manage surplus and obsolete inventories + Adhere to both company and government guidelines and regulations at all times + Assist with periodic physical inventory as needed + Adhere and contribute to applicable SOPs + Drive process improvements continuously + Serve as a POC for buying and related inquiries + Maintain professionalism and live CCA’s core values at all times + Perform all other duties as assigned or inherent to the position, including periodic physical inventories + Up to 10% of domestic travel expected What You'll Need to Have + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combined experience and education directly related to purchasing. + 3+ years experience in a procurement role + Proven track record of strong negotiating + Impeccable attention to detail + Excellent math skills + Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP, Microsoft Office and/or Google’s G suite, particularly Excel/Sheets + Must be 21 years of age (or older) at the time of hire + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Flexible work schedule as needed + Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment + Excellent interpersonal skills + Strong organizational and follow-up skills What You'll Receive + Competitive base salary + Medical, dental and vision benefits + Vacation and Holidays ID: 2021-1094 External Company URL: https://www.ccagriculture.com/ Street: 1201 W.
