At the highest level, the Greenhouse Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising greenhouse cannabis cultivation, environmental controls, equipment, materials and labor to achieve best-in-class quality and yields. Key Responsibilities + Daily Management of production teams across all cultivation operations. + Manage production plans, schedules and daily tasks. + Operate and maintain automated climate-control systems in the greenhouse. + Manage multiple acres of flowering cannabis using hydroponic growing techniques. + Responsible for the execution of all plant maintenance, fertigation programs, IPM, etc. + Production and harvest forecasting. + Assist and help facilitate R&D and Breeding team trials. + Manage pest pressure using best IPM practices and environmental control techniques. + Maintain a clean, pest and disease free environment. + Manage spray teams and application schedules. + Adhere to and implement cultivation SOP?s. + Oversee and advise on facility repairs and maintenance projects. + Maintain Safety programs and other aspects of regulatory compliance. + Train new employees in cultivation techniques and activities. + Schedules staff and assigns work; maintains personnel records and provides input into performance evaluations. + Other duties as assigned by the Regional Cultivation Manager. The candidate must have + Strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire motivation within the team + Adaptability and multi-tasking skills, experience working in a fast moving environment + 5+ years experience in cultivation or production management + Expertise in commercial greenhouse cultivation and hydroponic growing systems + Must understand fertigation and irrigation systems including injectors, pH, EC etc. + Must have in depth knowledge of the safe handling and application of chemicals such as fertilizers, and organic pesticides + Experience with automated climate control greenhouse systems and knowledge of ventilation, light conditions, temperature and humidity + Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills + Ability to operate within a tightly controlled track and trace environment + Bachelor?s degree in Ag business, Ag science, or related field (agricultural emphasis) a plus + Positive attitude, remains calm under pressure + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs + Reliable transportation + No recreational cannabis-use or other substance abuse is tolerated during work hours + Must be 21 years of age or older The Ideal Candidate + Driven, motivated and passionate about life inside and outside of work. + Focused on creating solutions, growth and systems in a startup environment. + Able to lead teams in a way that inspires organizational growth and empowers employees. + Able to creatively problem solve and remain calm under challenging conditions. + Expert business administration and managerial skills to control costs and optimize efficiency.
