As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall store, employee, and consumer experience. The ideal candidate with help to drive results in retaining customers, optimizing product selection, and improving overall operations. With experience in Cannabis retail management, you will help create a thriving retail business and culture.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages inventory and makes necessary PO’s to restock products
  • Maintain staff performance results by coaching, mentoring, & counselling employees
  • Maintain operations by coordinating and enforcing, operational and personnel policies and procedures
  • Continuously review product line and track individual product sales for future sales forecasting
  • Optimize in store product selection to maximize top-sellers
  • Respond to customer complaints, comments and general questions in an educational manner
  • Manage cash in store
  • Prepare schedule expenditures within budgetary considerations
  • Analyze variances and make corrections as needed
  • Ensure security with merchandise through security measures
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Manage the controllable costs to keep operations profitable
  • Deal with staffing issues such as conducting appraisals and/or performance reviews
  • Providing additional training and mentoring where needed
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met

 

Requirements

  • Experience with cannabis sales or 5+ years in retail management is required
  • Must have Security Verification from BC Government
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience with other retail software
  • Proven experience working as a Budtender is an asset
  • Sell Safe or CanSell Training is preferred
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be able to pass a security check
