Then we have an opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a highly qualified HR Specialist - Shared Services to join our HR Direct department in Richmond, VA. HR Direct is an HR shared services center staffed by HR professionals available to respond to HR-related inquiries in “real time." Coordinating and facilitating HR transactions and processes. Successful candidates will act as a custodian of HR data and records, ensuring the accuracy of data maintained in our SAP HR system. Specific accountabilities include: • Serve as a main point of contact for HR inquiries from employees and managers via phone and email • Deliver high-quality customer service consistently in a professional manner • Provide technical and tactical guidance to HR Business Partners regarding organizational changes and complex personnel actions • Process daily personnel transaction requests in the SAP system, as the need arises • Perform basic org structure maintenance, including evaluating paperwork and performing required research to maintain integrity of org structure • Interpret and provide direction on a wide range of policies, provisions and detailed procedures • Build effective partnerships with HR Business Partners, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting and Finance to ensure data accuracy in the HRIS system • Support and assist with large projects as required, including the development and/or improvement of business processes • Participate on teams as the subject matter expert with the ability to make process improvement recommendations • Act as first contact for issue resolution and/or building client capability in the use of employee self-service tools Qualifications include: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field preferred • HRIS experience preferred • Ability to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with other members of HR Shared Services • Must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate customer service skills focused on execution and follow through • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization, in a collaborative environment • Possess the ability to work under pressure while effectively managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines • Comprehensive understanding of HR data as it relates to "contingency" systems including payroll, benefits, organizational chart, onboarding, etc. • Attention to detail (particularly with entering data) and the ability to meet deadlines are crucial • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills based on system data or other available information with the ability to successfully address client needs In addition to the opportunity to apply and develop your skills toward key business objectives, we offer an excellent compensation package including a competitive base salary, comprehensive health/vision/dental insurance, participation in our deferred profit sharing and incentive compensation programs as well as a relocation assistance package.
