CanMar Recruitment is looking for Production Supervisor for our client in Richmond, British Columbia.

The client is a boutique licensed producer poised to begin producing premium quality dried flower, looking to take their products to market. Its mission is to utilize the best technology and production practices available to provide full-service co-packing and processing solutions that maximizes efficiency and product turnover. Its customer-focused approach offers catered and cost-effective solutions in achieving packaging and distribution goals.

 

About the Role

 

The Production Supervisor shall improve the capability of the production and packaging process and ensure compliance with all relevant Health Canada regulations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipping and receipt of materials for all jobs
  • Manage shipping and receipt of materials for all jobs
  • Schedule shipping of packaged products to customers· 
  • Ensure sanitation procedures and COVID-19 preventive measures are being done by all individuals onsite
  • Manage inventory of production supplies and equipment
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors
  • Ensure jobs are running effectively and efficiently
  • Maintain a safe work environment· 
  • Wear PPE, including lab coat, mask, gloves, and hairnet



Requirements

  • Has experience in cannabis packaging & production and as a shift supervisor
  • Has superb understanding of cannabis terminologies
  • Has the ability to lead a job to completion with efficiency, accuracy, and quality
  • Can motivate staff to work efficiently and with the highest level of quality
  • Can read and follow work instructions precisely
  • Must be highly trustworthy, responsible, and reliable during shifts 
  • Holds a valid Health Canada security clearance. 
  • Must be physically fit 
  • Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment· 
  • Must be able to act with discretion and good judgment
  • Can handle confidential information
  • Must be knowledgeable of Health Canada's cannabis framework 
  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to work well with others
