Job Description

Our client, a vertically integrated cannabis company is looking for an HR Business Partner to be responsible for HR activities and facilitating generalist HR functions.  This includes onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll, maintenance of employee records, HRIS, and compliance within the company’s retail facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit and interview 
  • Onboard new employees
  • Enroll new employees into benefits
  • Support Retail personnel at locations across the state
  • Provide a positive and professional HR experience
  • Perform and run payroll on bi-weekly basis
  • Process paperwork for new hires, terminations, and other status changes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on FMLA, Cobra EEO, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, DOL, and other federal and state laws and regulations
  • Draft eligibility and ineligibility letters

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or relevant field
  • 4 years of human resources experience
  • 1 year of Payroll Administration
  • Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Kronos and HIPPA experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%
  • Ability to register with the state’s cannabis commissions as an agent
  • HR certifications preferred

COMPENSATION: $80,000– $90,000 with benefits

TRAVEL 15% of the time
