Job Description

GreenForce is helping a leading cannabis extraction company fill their Bookkeeper/Office Manager opening. 

They are one of Oregon’s premier provider of bulk cannabis oil and extraction services. They are searching for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager. This individual will report to their Accountant and will be responsible for bookkeeping duties, including data entry.

This individual may assist  their accountant with monthly reconciliations, preparing financial reports, taxes, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to handle a full range of responsibilities, including data entry, account reconciliation, and data analysis. This individual will also work with the executive team to maintain regulatory compliance and complete HR related tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Duties:

  • Working with other members of the accounting department to compile, analyze, and report financial data.

  • Data entry; Making journal or ledger entries.

  • Collecting receipts, invoices, and other financial documents; completing data entry of said documents.

  • Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports and budgets.

  • Assisting with tax preparation, audits, and identifying and resolving discrepancies.

  • Using bookkeeping software and entering information into company files or databases, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate.

  • Maintaining both paper and electronic filing systems.

  • Ensuring that company bills are paid and debts are collected.

  • Assisting the accountant with managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.

  • Staying current on company, local, state, and federal financial regulations and policies.

  • Assisting the executive team maintain OLCC, ODA, OMMP, and local compliance.

  • Helping to recruit and onboard new employees.

  • Collecting and maintaining employee data.

Requirements:

  • Experience in bookkeeping and accounting is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field is preferred.

  • HR experience is preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management, problem-solving, and math skills.

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

  • Proficiency with computers, especially bookkeeping software, strong typing skills. QuickBooks Online experience is preferred.

  • High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking.

Schedule:

  • 40 hrs/wk

  • Monday to Friday

  • Flexibility in schedule.

  • Partial work-from-home may be an option
