Job Description

Wemelco Industries is looking to immediately fill a full-time Finance & Human Resource position.  The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all Finance Dept & HR related tasks for:

High Five LLC dba Wemelco Industries, Easthampton, MA

Alexsofia LLC dba Honey, Northampton, MA

Clovercraft LLC dba Budzee Cannabis Delivery, Easthampton, MA 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Tracks budget and incoming payments to Company;
  • Issues payment to vendors;
  • Reconciles financial records and accounts;
  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions;
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries;
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries;
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents;
  • Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances & summarizing data;
  • Complies with state and federal tax filing requirements by studying regulations; adhering to requirements; advising management on required actions; assembling data for quarterly and bi-annual tax payments & filings;
  • Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data;
  • Provides direct over sight of bookkeeping staff;
  • Manages human resources operations by employment processing, maintaining compensation, health and welfare benefits including but not limited to weekly payroll processing and retirement plan contributions; records management; safety and health programs; employee relations and retention; AA/EEO compliance; and resolving human resource problems;
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements; advising management on needed actions;
  • Manages company fleet, including but not limited to registration, insurance, repair authorization and payment;
  • Manages utilities and communications;
  • Manages insurance compliance and reporting.
